Everyone has a story and the King Of Bingo's owner, Ron Peters, story starts out rather uniquely.
In 1990, Ron Peters was recovering from cancer.
After lying on the sofa for over a year he realized that this can’t be his whole life.
His life was meant to be lived!
Ron’s wife suggested that they go over to the Raynham Flea Market in Raynham Massachusetts. Since this was a good opportunity to get off the sofa and out of the house, Ron went without debate.
Soon after arriving at the flea market he met the owners, Jeff and Debbie Mann. They encouraged Ron to come to the flea market and start up his own business!
This gave Ron a brilliant idea, and it wasn't long before Ron began selling his Bingo Supplies at the Flea market! This helped him to gain experience in Bingo sales and marketing.
After mastering the art of selling Bingo supplies at the Raynham Flea Market, Ron decided to move on to St. Margaret’s Church in Brockton, Massachusetts. It was there that he started selling everything Bingo! Skip forward to 9 months later and Ron was becoming the King of Bingo! In just a small amount of time, Ron had learned the Nature of the Player, the game of Bingo and all the idiosyncrasies that went along with it. Ron really enjoyed selling his Bingo Supplies at St. Margaret’s. It also is helped to educate him on how the business worked.
After 6 years at the Raynham Flea Market, he wanted to make the King Of Bingo bigger! He was looking for a way to expand his business and to reach out to more people. Since the flea market business was only on Sundays, Ron needed a way to be able to sell his Bingo supplies everyday!
Around this time the Internet was taking off big-time. Ron contemplated taking his business to the next level by using the Internet. He met up with a guy who helped him launch a simple basic website. Although, soon after, the man who had helped him sadly passed away.
Not knowing what to do next, Ron was still motivated to get his business off the ground! He was then introduced to two people from the Raynham flea market. Little did he know, they had been there all along, right across from his table! The couple by the name of Pam and David Snell of American Computer Technologies, did computer work, web hosting and web design. Ron told Pam Snell of his dilemma and asked if she could help. Pam and Ron arranged a meeting and BINGO! The King Of Bingo as we know it today, was launched!
